Top Lake
The top lake is fed by a natural spring flowing from the ground. It was drained and stocked in 2009 with a large number of small common and mirror carp, tench, roach and perch. The lake has lots of natural features with overhanging trees and bushes with depths of 2-8 ft.
Bottom Lake
The bottom lake is well stocked with common, mirror, grass & Leather carp to 40 lbs + including two catfish over 20 lbs which were introduced in 2008 from the top lake. The lake has 3 main swims but would recommend no more than 2 people fishing. The lake ranges in depth from 4-8 ft and is at its deepest by the post. There are many features including overhanging trees, bamboo, reeds, shallows, deep water and an island.
We would recommend fishing for one fish and then rebaiting rather than putting in lots of bait, hence so it's more setting traps rather than baiting big areas. Any good quality boilies will work like Smart Bait's GLM or Super Crab Boilies, sweetcorn is also very effective and the fish can also be caught on surface baits.
